PLEASE SERVICE YOUR HVAC CONDENSATE DRAIN THIS SUMMER

CHECK HVAC CONDENSATE DRAIN TO AVOID WATER DAMANG.

Every year many homes in the Gulf Coast areas are damaged due to condensate line blockage from HVAC blocked drains lines connected to coils installed in ceiling attics. Damage can be costly and very inconvient. Although season maintenance is important, installing a float switch in the secondary drain pan to detect water is a good idea. It is also important to have the secondary drain pan inspected every season.

A 3 ton air-conditioning coil can produce about 3 gallons of water when humidity is 90 percent on a hot summer day. This water (condensate) has to be piped to out doors. If water is seen draining from the roof level and it is not raining during spring and fall, the air-conditioner drain system should be immediately checked.
